MEDICAL ASSIST

In the event of any medical emergency, you have the assurance of complete access to:

• Emergency telephonic assistance via the medical advice line
• Emergency response by road or air ambulance to the scene of the incident
• Transfers by road or air to the most appropriate medical facility
• Transfers of life saving medication/blood
• Companionship and/or care for stranded minors
• Repatriation of terminally ill patients if hospitalised far from home

The Road Assist service has a maximum annual limit of R1 500 per insured vehicle. No limit is set for accident towing.
Rapid roadside emergency solutions are provided by this package, which covers:

• Vehicle repatriation up to R500
• The call out fee plus one hour's labour for a vehicle locksmith
• Car hire to the value of R500 for a 24 hour period
  (if stranded more than 100 km away from home)
• Overnight hotel accommodation for the driver and occupants of the vehicle, to a maximum of R500 in a hotel of the service provider's choice
• Towing to the nearest approved panel beater / yard after an accident
• Cover for the call out and 1st hour's labour when assistance with a flat tyre is required
• Access to mechanics
• Free emergency delivery of 10 litres of fuel
  (charged at cost), for 3 emergency events per year

This service is operated through a nationwide network of over 110 recognised trauma centres that offer comprehensive counselling and advice services:

• 3 face to face trauma counselling sessions
• Assistance with courtroom preparation for witnesses/survivors
• Referral to group therapy and support groups
• Accompaniment to ID parades and court hearings

Referral to a place of safety or shelter 

LEGAL ASSIST

Qualified attorneys guide our clients through the legal process and provide:

• Telephonic legal advice and referral for legal representation
• Assistance with legal documentation, e.g. sale, lease, power of attorney agreements, wills and contracts

24 hours a day, 7 days a week for assistance, there will be no charge to you, no towing costs, and this service is offered absolutely free!

Phone the 1st for Women Towline number and we will arrange for your vehicle to be towed ABSOLUTELY FREE!

If you do not call the 1st for Women Towline on 0860 082 911 to authorise the towing of your vehicle, you will be personally responsible for the cost of the towing and the storage of your vehicle.

If your vehicle was towed to an unauthorised location and it is being stored there, repairs to your vehicle will be delayed while you negotiate the price to release your vehicle from their facilities.

Remember...
Unless you are prepared to pay the cost of the towing yourself, do not authorise your vehicle to be towed away from the scene of the accident by any other towing service other than one authorised by the 1st for Women Towline.

HOME ASSIST 

(Included with all policies)
Thankfully, emergencies in your living environment need no longer turn into a nightmare. We cover the call out fee plus one hour's labour for the services of:

• Plumbers
• Electricians
• Glaziers
• Locksmiths
• Stove, oven, dishwasher, tumble-dryer, freezer, fridge and washing machine repairers

Members also have full access to an essential services database, where referrals are given for:

• Builders
• Carpet specialists
• Painters
• Garden services

EXPO-SURE

This is a product that provides immediate emergency assistance in the event of suspected accidental exposure to HIV/Aids, such as in the instance of rape. The risk of contracting HIV is significantly reduced if action is taken within 72 hours of being exposed to the virus. Please note that in the instance of child rape, the time period to take action is much shorter than that of an adult.

This service is available to you the customer, and your immediate family. One phone call to 1st For Women provides access to over 2800 doctors in medical centres throughout the country.

Once at the doctor, you will be provided with a free HIV-test and in the event of the test being negative, with anti-retroviral medication. Where necessary you will also be provided with STD therapy and the morning-after pill.

In the event of the test being positive, you will be provided with STD therapy and the morning-after pill.

An ongoing phone-in counselling service will be provided to all users of this service.

Counselling to the value of R3000 per family is provided per incident. In the event of the unfortunate incident of rape in your home you will be given R2000 for home security improvements.
