A laptop stolen
in Johannesburg has been recovered and will be returned to the
rightful owner within the next few days, this is thanks to a
Johannesburg based anti-crime initiative.

Gareebine, the victim of the theft, works for the Auditor General of
Botswana and is currently studying for her MBA through UCT, thus the
data on her laptop is of paramount importance to her studies.

followed by information received from their information network.
ITCrimes

Independent SerialNumber Database) in the aim of returning stolen
items to the owners and aiding the police in the apprehension of
perpetrators of these crimes. When asked to comment Mr. Shaun
van Coller, a director of ITCrimes, said: “The more laptops and
computers we recover and return, the closer we get to eradicating
this problem."
