FAnews – Now in Afrikaans!
We
have received many requests from our readers to publish an Afrikaans
version of FAnews (Financial & Advisory News) magazine. The number of
requests could not be ignored and considering the strong media trend
towards offering an Afrikaans version of many popular publications, we
decided to run a poll on our website to determine the extent of the
need. A considerable amount of readers voted and the need for an
Afrikaans FAnews was clear.
Following this research and serious consideration, we have decided to
fulfil this need with a groundbreaking additional offering that will
benefit both readers and advertisers. Subscribers to FAnews in
Afrikaans will receive both the English and the Afrikaans FAnews
which means that there will be no reduction in the current FAnews print
order.
With the
February 2007 edition of FAnews, we will be publishing the first
FAnews in Afrikaans as a 16-page stand-alone magazine of the same
high quality our readers have come to expect from the English version.
FAnews in Afrikaans will be published every second month.
Readership profile
Our
readers include independent financial advisers, brokers, financial
advisers contracted to certain insurers only, members of broker
networks, bank and corporate advisers and the management of all product
and service providers within the financial services industry.
By
publishing FAnews in Afrikaans, we will reach an even wider
audience and will build a loyal Afrikaans readership that exceeds that
of any other industry specific magazine in the financial services
industry.
Content
The
content of the Afrikaans version will be of the same high quality as the
current FAnews. Articles will cover all aspects of the industry, from
short-term, healthcare, life and investments to practice management,
compliance and tax.
Format
The
first FAnews in Afrikaans will be a 16-page stand-alone magazine,
distributed with the current FAnews. Subsequent editions will be
distributed on a subscribers-only basis.
More about FAnews
The
FAnews magazine is South Africa’s premier financial and
advisory-specific news and information publication. It appeared for the
first time as The Independent Broker, and later as The IFA (Independent
Financial Advice) in 1996. Since then it has grown from an initial print
order of 3 000 to its present print order of 10 000 and a readership of
between 30 000 and 40 000, becoming South Africa’s premier broker
magazine. In June 2003, the name changed to FAnews (Financial and
Advisory News).
The aim
of the magazine is to promote the synergy and understanding between
financial advisers and product providers. FAnews promotes not only the
role and importance of the financial adviser and intermediary in an open
and transparent way, but also the very important interaction between
product provider (including insurance houses) and the financial adviser.
The
FAnews Group is passionate about providing a complete news, information
and resources offering to the entire financial and advisory industry. In
each edition of the magazine, pertinent and important issues are
addressed in addition to our regular pages covering specific industry
sectors such as Life/Retirement, Short-term, Employee Benefits,
Investments, Dread Disease & Disability, Healthcare, Tax, Practice
Management, Compliance and Training. Each edition, except February,
also carries a special in-depth focus on a topical industry
issue.
Exposure profile
The FAnews magazine
appeals to the all the role-players in the short-term, life, healthcare,
investment and retirement industries. The FAnews magazine attracts
readers through a unique and integrated marketing strategy.
