Netstar recovery
guarantee for Insurance Industry
Since
inception in 1995, Netstar has consistently maintained a recovery rate in
excess of 85%.
To
improve our service to our clients, and to demonstrate our confidence in
maintaining and even exceeding this rate, we have introduced the Netstar
Recovery Guarantee for the Insurance Industry.
All
Insurance Industry clients that have Netstar systems installed from 1
November 2005 onwards, will qualify for the Netstar
Recovery Guarantee.
Netstar
guarantees that it will recover a stolen or hijacked vehicle, failing which,
Netstar will refund all Netstar subscription fees paid on that vehicle to
the Netstar Subscriber.
To
obtain a refund, the following conditions must be met:

The Netstar Subscriber must be an Insurance Industry client, with the
vehicle insured through any of the Insurance Companies or Underwriters in
South Africa.

The Netstar system must have been installed on or after 1 November
2005.

The Netstar Subscriber must have reported the vehicle stolen or
hijacked to Netstar.

If the vehicle is not recovered, then the Insurance Company or
Underwriter may settle the claim for the vehicle, and proof of this
settlement must be provided to Netstar.
The Netstar Subscriber is responsible for lodging the claim and
providing this proof of settlement within one month after settlement.
If
these conditions are met, then Netstar will refund all rental subscription
fees paid and received on that vehicle, to the Netstar Subscriber, within 14
days of receipt of claim.
If
the Netstar Subscriber had purchased the system rather than opting to rent
it, then Netstar will refund all service subscription fees paid and received
on that vehicle and will install a new system at no charge in the new
vehicle.
